Swiss tenor and Bach Prize winner Raphael Höhn is a regular guest in Europe's major concert halls. He collaborates with renowned ensembles and orchestras such as the Bach Foundation St. Gallen, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, AKAMUS Berlin, the Netherlands Bach Society, and the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig. His broad repertoire ranges from Renaissance to contemporary music, with a particular focus on the interpretation of Baroque works.
During his vocal studies at the Zurich University of the Arts and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, he deepened his skills in classical singing and early music. He received important musical inspiration from conductors such as Frans Bruggen, Laurence Cummings, Justin Doyle, Simon Gaudens, Howard Griffiths, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Ton Koopman, Vàclav Luks, and Andrea Marcon.
In the current 2024/25 season, Raphael Höhn can be heard performing all of Johann Sebastian Bach's major works. He will tour the Mass in B minor and the St. John Passion with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. In December, he will sing the Christmas Oratorio with the Dresden Philharmonic and the Magnificat with the Munich Philharmonic.
